Brief Summary
There's a serious shortage of technical and creative talent working in non-profit organizations. Project 501 is building a path that makes it easy for tech talent to find exciting and meaningful opportunities to volunteer their expertise.
We are looking for community managers to build and manage relationships with non-profits in cities across the U.S. This volunteer position is for New York.
What's involved?
- Identify and connect with local non-profits who could use technical and creative support.
- Work with each organization to help define a project and evaluate volunteer candidates.
- Lightly manage the volunteer <--> organization relationship throughout the project to ensure project success.
What would make a great community manager?
- Prior experience in community management, project management, or marketing.
- Prior experience working with non-profit organizations is a huge plus.
- Available to volunteer 5-10 hours per week.
- Generally positive attitude and get-shit-done mindset :).
